COUNTY EXTENSION OFFERS CEU COURSE
ON GRADES AND STANDARDS FOR URBAN TREES

The Volusia County Agricultural Center will host a Grades and Standards Seminar Thursday, Sept. 4, to show nursery tree growers how to produce quality trees.

Registration is at 8 a.m., and classes will be from 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the center, 3100 E. New York Ave., DeLand.

Instructors will explain tree biology and recent revisions to Florida’s grades and standards for nursery trees. During an outdoor session, the class will grade recently grown and planted nursery trees.

The University of Florida/Volusia County Extension and Florida Nursery, Growers and Landscape Association will offer five continuing education credits. Lunch will be provided.
