Citizens Academy 2008 - Mock Council meeting

Academy members got a taste of what it's like to work in Volusia County Government at their last class meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 12. Portraying the Council members and department directors they had shadowed during the program, the group worked through a regular Council agenda, complete with public participation (County employees) and a proclamation in their honor.
Darryl Cowden, Assistant Director of Administration (Acting) for the Ocean Center, Nancy Schleicher, County Chair and Don Kane, District 3 County Council member.
Sue Lombardi, Community Information Director.
First row, from left: John Chrisman and Art McCreight. Second row: Virginia Dornbach and Bob Jeffrey. Third row: Robin Warren and Frances Wilson. Fourth row: Nancy Plyer and Darryl Cowden.
