County of Volusia Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports (CAFR)
This report provides relevant financial information to Volusia County citizens, creditors and investors.

Mission statement:
Shall be responsible for all functions prescribed by Florida Statutes for the office of clerk of the circuit court acting as auditor to the board of county commissioners as provided in section 601.1(1)b of the Charter of Volusia County.

Accounts Receivable
Accounts Receivable is responsible for billing and collecting rental fees on County owned properties, landfill fees, special property improvement assessments, and other fees for goods and services. Accounts Payable
Accounts Payable is responsible for paying all invoices received by the County for goods and services purchased.

Vendors should submit invoices for goods and services purchased by the County of Volusia to the Initiating Service Center. Verified invoices are forwarded from the Service Center to Accounts Payable for payment. Vendors checking on information of payment status first should contact the initiating Service Center.

Dishonored checks
All checks issued to the County of Volusia returned by the issuer’s bank for any reason (insufficient funds, account closed, funds not available, unsigned, and various other reasons) are subject to a service charge based on the face amount of the check:

Face amount $0.01- $49.99 $25
Face amount $50 -   $299.99 $30
Face amount $300 -  $800 $40
Face amount more than $800 5 percent of check

Dishonored checks not properly cleared in the allotted time frame are forwarded to the State Attorney's office for collection/prosecution. Additional fees may result from this action.
