County of
Volusia Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports (CAFR)
This report provides relevant financial information to Volusia
County citizens, creditors and investors.
Selected
State revenue distributions for fiscal years 2002 - 2008
Tourist Development collections for fiscal years 2000-08
County implements GASB 33
for selected revenues
The County implemented GASB 33 changing the
recognition basis of selected revenues from the period in which they were
measurable and available to the period in which they were earned for the
fiscal year ended September 30, 2001. For example, revenues were
previously recognized in the month they were due to the government (County
or State) collecting the revenues. Now, they are recognized in the period
that generated the revenue. Therefore, revenues that were previously
listed as October are now September revenues, and so forth.
Revenues for Fiscal Year 2001 have been
restated to the correct month with October 2000 revenues being moved back
to September 2000 as a prior period adjustment.
