Request For Exempt Personal Information In A Motor Vehicle/Driver License Record (pdf format)

Volusia County is pleased to offer TagTalk, an automated telephone information system that allows authorized individuals of qualified companies access to Department of Motor Vehicle FRVIS records 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

If you wish to obtain an access code and password for yourself or company to access only lien holder and vehicle information, you must have a valid Volusia County occupational license, have paid all Volusia County tangible taxes, and complete an Agreement to Access Information application.

Under section 119.07, Florida Statutes, the following personal information contained in motor vehicle and driver license records are protected under The Drivers Privacy Protection Act:

• Social Security number
• Driver license or identification card number
• Name
• Address
• Telephone number
• Medical or disability information

Certain persons, organizations, businesses, and government agencies can still have access this personal information. For a complete list of exceptions please click on the following link: Driver Privacy Protection Act Exceptions.

If you are an individual or company who qualifies to access protected information, you must also complete a Request For Exempt Personal Information In a Motor Vehicle/Driver License Record application.

If you already use TagTalk but wish to add or delete an individual or change any other information on your original agreement, you must complete a Change Request.

Once received, your completed application will be reviewed and upon approval you will receive written notification containing your access code and password.
