Volusia County's Parks, Recreation and Culture Division offers a wide variety of adult and youth sports. Youth activities include basketball, cheerleading and soccer. Adult sports include soccer and softball. There also are non-sports youth programs such as teen night, summer recreation programs, holiday and teacher duty day trip programs.

County ball fields, pavilions, courts and meeting rooms may be reserved in advance. Seven to 10 working days are required to process a reservation permit by mail. The permit may be obtained immediately in person at the Parks, Recreation and Culture Division main office in DeLand. Individuals or businesses may sponsor a youth sports team by calling Parks, Recreation and Culture at (386) 736-5953. Sponsorships are available for a wide variety of team sports. Sponsors get the business name printed on the back of the team shirts on the game schedules and in area newspapers with the weekly standings.
